Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to provide support to our Finance team!
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing key accounting functions, including account reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles within a healthcare environment.
- Prepare journal entries and generate supporting documentation.
- Prepare and review general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Manage journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate coding and allocation of expenses.
- Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Manage various sites including but not limited to credit card, and bank sites to manage cash transfers and payments.
- Maintain documentation and internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Identify process improvements and recommend efficiencies in the accounting workflow.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong experience with account reconciliations and general ledger management.
- QuickBooks experience strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and best practices.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
- Intercompany experience – muti entity reporting.
