Restore First Health is seeking an experienced Athena Optimization Consultant to lead the optimization of our Athena EMR system. This role will be responsible for developing best practices, creating efficient workflows, custom building of Athena reports (clinical, billing, and financial etc.), integrating automation, AI, and voice recognition technologies, and streamlining patient registration processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Athena EMR systems and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance healthcare operations.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Athena EMR systems and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance healthcare operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of best practices for Athena EMR system optimization.
- Design, configure, and streamline workflows within the Athena EMR to improve efficiency and patient care outcomes.
- Develop automation strategies to reduce manual tasks, improve accuracy, and enhance the patient registration process.
- Custom building of Athena reports (clinical, billing, and financial etc.)
- Integrate AI and machine learning technologies into the Athena EMR system to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Implement voice recognition technology to optimize clinical documentation and streamline administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to assess current workflows, identify gaps, and implement solutions that enhance productivity.
- Provide training and support to staff on optimized workflows, automation tools, and new EMR features.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and make continuous improvements to the EMR configuration.
- Stay current on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to EMR optimization, automation, and AI in healthcare.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Information Technology, or related field (master’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of experience working with Athena EMR or other electronic medical record systems.
- Proven experience in EMR optimization, automation, and workflow design.
- Experience implementing AI and machine learning technologies in healthcare settings.
- Strong understanding of patient registration processes and healthcare data workflows.
- Experience with voice recognition technologies in clinical or administrative settings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- This is a remote position. Some travel to our practices may be required from time to time.
