Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Nurse Practitioner to join our Mobile Wound Care Team. This position will require travel to our NJ and PA locations to support the Nurse Practitioner team and to provide specialized, advanced wound therapy in patient residences and skilled nursing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists the team in achieving objectives and goals related to clinical practice, clinical quality, financial performance, professional development, and provider well-being. 
  • Works collaboratively with the Medical Director and leadership team to evaluate, implement, and optimize advanced practice models of care. 
  • At the direction of the Medical Director, participates in human resource functions such as: workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, evaluation, coaching, and professional development activities for team APPs. 
  • Represents team APPs and RNs in addressing significant issues and barriers that affect clinical practice, safety, quality and professionalism. 
  • Collaborates with leadership team in developing and implementing orientations, competency assessment and mentoring for new APNP/PA/RN employees. 
  • Facilitates and fosters communication to APP and RN team members through regular written or verbal techniques. 
  • Maintains accurate and updated patient records and documentation. 
  • Review past medical records and prior notes in the electronic health record (EHR)   
  • Completes medical record note within 24 hours of seeing the patient.  
  • Abides by the Restore First Health’s Mission, Vision and Values in promoting ethical behavior, establishing relationships and providing guidance in decision-making situations. 
  • Remains current with required training certifications, meets state-regulated licensing and regulatory accreditations, and adheres to mandatory requirements. 
  • Maintains effective verbal and written communications with colleagues, patients, and their family members and/or guardians when applicable. 
  • Maintains a safe and respectful environment, free of abuse, neglect, or exploitation; does not allow weapons, threats, bullying or intimidation. 
  • Reports any violations to the appropriate individual as soon as the incident occurs. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in nursing 

  • Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in NJ/PA

  • Wound Care Certification preferred. Must be able to receive wound care certification within 6 months of being hired

  • Significant clinical experience, typically 5+ years in a relevant specialty 

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting 

  • Experience with workforce planning, recruitment, and performance management 

  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards 

Schedule:
  • Full-time, Monday – Friday.
