Scheduler - Wound Care

We are seeking a Scheduler who will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling home healthcare visits for patients. This position involves working closely with healthcare providers, patients, caregivers, and other staff members to ensure that services are delivered in a timely and efficient manner. The scheduler will maintain patient care schedules, monitor service delivery, and ensure all documentation is accurate.  This will be a remote position, but the candidate must be based in the Atlanta area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scheduling Appointments:  
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments for wound care services based on the availability of healthcare providers and patient needs.  
  • Coordinate the schedules of nurses and other healthcare professionals.  
  • Adjust schedules as necessary due to patient needs, provider availability, and emergencies.  
• Communication:  
  • Maintain regular communication with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure understanding of scheduled appointments.  
  • Confirm appointments with patients and their families ahead of time and provide necessary reminders.  
  • Address patient or family concerns regarding the timing, changes, or cancellations of scheduled visits. 
• Coordination:  
  • Ensure all documentation related to scheduled visits, cancellations, and changes is accurate and up to date. 
  • Track visit documentation to ensure all necessary paperwork and patient information are complete and filed.  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.  
• Some college or training in healthcare administration is preferred.  
• Previous experience in scheduling, healthcare administration, or a related field is required
